I needed something for my face that was NON irritating and would help with adult acne. I LOVE THIS! It is my second order. Be sure you suds the soap in your hand and DO NOT RUB THE SOAP directly on your body. It has rough pieces in it and they will scratch your face. The rough peices simply disolve when you suds them. I USE THIS EVERY DAY ALL OVER I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

I love this soap. It cleans well with no residue. And it does not dry your skin out. I did not like that the photo makes you think the entire block is 5 lbs and that is what you will get. I did get 5 lbs but it was a portion of the block shown. I got what I paid for but somehow I felt I was deceived. I am a very visual person. I think if you show a photo, it should actually represent what you are buying. It is a small matter considering I did get 5 lbs of soap and it is really good soap. It arrived very quickly. Just hate the photo "deception".

African Black Soap is excellent for dry skin care. The soap lathers really well, is soft, and leaves my skin soft. This soap does not dry the skin out. It actually moisturizes the skin and leaves a sort of glow to it. If you have had problems using Castile soap due to dry skin, this is the product you are seeking. It is a raw product so don't expect the pretty little shape you get with commercial soap which contain sulfate, but this soap cleans the skin and leaves it feeling soft. I would not recommend using this soap on very delicate areas, if you know what I mean, as it has an exfoliant in it. But, that's just me. LOL

This item is excellent for persons of African descent. I have tried the salicylic acid (20%), glycolic acid (35%) and finally the lactic acid (70%) and my skin has improved dramatically! I especially liked that the company included a complimentary small bottle of salicylic acid and recommended using it as a pre-peel a day before using the lactic acid. I did as recommended, and left the lactic on for exactly one minute as it was my first time using it. I have also been moisturizing at night with Vaseline petroleum jelly because of the dryness I experienced. Well, in three days, I noticed peeling, with my old skin being removed when I used my toner after washing. The result? Smooth textured clear radiant skin! I can't wait to complete the process, because if this is what I achieve after just one treatment, my skin should be flawless by the time I'm done!! Needless to say I'm very optimistic and very, very pleased.

This is a very good peel. Because of the gel formula easier to use than other peels that are more liquid. I am a skin care therapist and can recommend this product for everyone. But highly reccomend to read the instructions before applying the peel.

This product definitely works, a little too well. I do suggest purchasing this product, however, I'd like to give a little warning to anyone who's interested. The company was nice enough to send a trial size version of their salicylic acid product along with this peel. They suggest using it a few days before doing the lactic acid peel, so that the l. peel works better. Well, my experience was not pretty...I did the s. peel about 4 days before the l. peel. I loved the outcome I got from the s. peel but once I did the l. peel I looked like I had burned my face off for about 3 days. I couldn't laugh, smile, make any facial expression whatsoever without pain. I'm not sure why I had such drastic results b/c according to the instructions that's exactly how they suggest using it. I only left the l. peel on for about 25 secs. This stuff is really strong so I would advise you not to use the s. peel first. Do one or the other and see how you react to it first. I've tried almost everything out there that can help with my skin discoloration and this is one of the best I've found thus far. I'm actually surprised of the rating in Amazon because I would think it would get a better review considering what's out there. I'm happy with this product and I felt compelled to write a review because I am so happy with it. I'm hoping I can help others out there to check this product out. I gave it a 4-star simply because I still have my skin discoloration but I'm finally seing a difference w/ this cream.

It works some, and the texture is easier to apply than Nadinola's fade cream. The smell is toooooo perfume-y which is why my rating for this product is 1 star minus...

Other all, I like Ambi better, and I was hoping this would have a cocoa butter smell because I love the cocoa butter smell, now it's just too much perfume, oh well.
